Vicks Formulatus 1.33 mg/ml Honey Flavoured Syrup 180ml
Vicks Formulatus is a medicine used to relieve dry or irritating coughs. Its active ingredient, dextromethorphan, acts directly on the brain to reduce the urge to cough.
What does it do?

Relief of dry coughs: It is especially effective in soothing coughs that do not produce mucus, such as irritative coughs or nervous coughs.

Symptomatic treatment: Vicks Formulatus relieves cough symptoms, but does not treat the underlying cause.
Who can take it?

Adults: Vicks Formulatus can be taken as directed on the package leaflet.

Children from 6 years of age: They can also use it, always under medical supervision and following the recommended doses for their age.
How does it work?
Dextromethorphan acts on the central nervous system, inhibiting the cough reflex. In this way, it helps to reduce the frequency and intensity of coughing episodes.
Instructions for use / advice
Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age:
Take 15 ml 3 times a day measured with the measuring cup included in the pack. If necessary, the dose can be repeated every 6 hours.
Use in children:
Children between 6 - 11 years: take 10 ml, every 8 hours, measured with the measuring cup included in the pack.
If necessary, the dose can be repeated every 6 hours.
Composition
Each millilitre of syrup contains:

The active substance is dextromethorphan hydrobromide: 1.33 mg/ml.

The other ingredients are: sucrose, saccharin sodium, propylene glycol (E-1520) , ethanol, sodium citrate, citric acid , croscarmellose sodium (carmellose), macrogol, mentoxypropanediol (TK10), macrogol stearate type I, sodium benzoate (E-211), honey flavouring (contains propylene glycol (E-1520), benzyl benzoate, invert sugar, sodium and phenylalanine, verbena flavouring (contains ethanol), EDTA (ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid) and purified water.
