 Flutox Syrup 200 ml.

Indications for Flutox Syrup

Flutox is a medicine indicated for the treatment of non-productive forms of cough, such as irritative cough or nervous cough for adults and children from 2 years of age.

Action and mechanism of Flutox

Cloperastine, the active ingredient in Flutox Syrup, is an antitussive that inhibits the cough reflex.

Dosage

The recommended dose is:

- In adults and adolescents over 12 years old: 10 ml, 3 times a day.

- In children:

- Between 7 and 12 years old: 5 ml, 2 times a day.

- Between 5 and 6 years old: 3 ml, 2 times a day.

- Between 2 and 4 years old: 2 ml, 2 times a day.

- Flutox is contraindicated in children under 2 years of age.

Contraindications

In case of allergy to the active ingredient or any of the other components of Flutox, it is not recommended to take it, as well as in case of allergy to allergy medicines (antihistamines).

Nor should it be taken if you are taking medication for the treatment of depression and if you are pregnant or think you are pregnant or if you are breastfeeding. Also, children under 2 years of age may not take this medicine.

Adverse reactions

Like all medicines, Flutox can produce adverse effects, although not everyone suffers them. The most common, though rare, adverse effects are: drowsiness and dry mouth.

The adverse effects that can occur are Rare (up to 1 and 10 out of every 1000 patients): drowsiness, dry mouth (at high doses).

Very rare (up to 1 in 10,000 patients may be affected): allergic reaction, hives.

Conservation

Flutox does not require special conservation conditions. Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date shown on the package after CAD. The expiry date is the last day of the month shown. Medicines should be thrown away at the SIGRE Point in the pharmacy. If you are in doubt, ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the packaging and the medicines you do not need.
