- Indications for Voltadol Forte 150 g
- Voltadol Forte 150 g is a gel whose active ingredient, diclofenac diethylamine, belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and acts topically as a local analgesic and anti-inflammatory. This medicine is indicated in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age for the local relief of mild and occasional pain and inflammation caused by: minor bruises, blows, strains; stiff neck or other muscle spasms; occasional back pain as a result of sports activities or during daily activities. It is also effective in the treatment of minor sprains caused by twisting.
- Action and Mechanism of Voltadol Gel Forte
- Voltadol Forte Topical Gel is a creamy, white gel. It comes in a 50-gram aluminium tube and its active ingredient is diclofenac diethylamine.
- Dosage
- The normal dose of Voltadol Gel Forte for adults and adolescents over 14 years of age is twice a day, every 12 hours. A small amount of gel should be applied to the localised inflamed or painful area, preferably in the morning and at night.
- The amount of gel will vary depending on the size of the affected area. It is advisable to use the smallest amount necessary for the shortest time required.
- After using Voltadol Gel Forte, wash your hands thoroughly, unless they are the area being treated. If the pain or swelling persists or worsens after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.
- Contraindications
- Do not apply to areas of skin with cuts or open wounds, mucous membranes, eczema or areas of skin with a rash. Stop using the medicine if a rash develops after application.
- Do not use on large areas, use only on the affected area.
- Unless otherwise advised by your doctor, do not use during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy.
- Pharmacist's recommendations
- Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Similarly, if too much of the medicine has been applied, it is advisable to remove it by washing the affected area with plenty of water or by wiping it off.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the package after EXP.

- Side effects
- Like all medicines, Voltadol Forte 100g can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If you experience any of the following signs of allergy, stop using Voltadol Forte and consult your pharmacist. Rare side effects include skin rash and hives. Very rare side effects include difficulty breathing or chest tightness, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.

- Keep Voltadol Gel Forte out of the reach and sight of children and store it at a temperature below 30ºC.
