Indications for Voltadol Forte 100 g
Voltadol Forte 100 g is a gel whose active principle, diclofenac diethylamine, belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and acts topically as an analgesic and local anti-inflammatory. This medicine is indicated in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age for the local relief of pain and mild, occasional inflammation caused by: minor contusions, blows, distensions; torticollis or other contractures; occasional back pain, as a consequence of practising sports or during daily life activities. It is also effective in the treatment of mild sprains produced as a consequence of a sprain.
Action and Mechanism of Voltadol Gel Forte
Voltadol Forte Topical Gel is a creamy looking, white coloured gel. It is presented in an aluminium tube containing 50 grams and whose active principle is diclofenac diethylamine.
Posology
The normal dose of Voltadol Gel Forte in adults and adolescents over 14 years old is twice a day, every 12 hours. A small amount of gel should be applied to the local swollen or painful area, preferably in the morning and evening.
The amount of gel will vary depending on the size of the affected area. It is advisable to use the least amount necessary for the shortest time required.
After using Voltadol Gel Forte you should wash your hands properly, unless these are the treatment area. If the pain or swelling persists or worsens after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.
Contraindications
Do not apply to places on the skin where there are open cuts or wounds, or on mucous membranes, eczemas or places on the skin where there is a skin rash. Stop using the medicine if a skin rash occurs after application.
Do not use on large areas, use only on the affected area.
Unless medically indicated, do not use during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy.
Pharmacist's recommendations
It is recommended not to exceed the recommended daily dose. Similarly, if too much of the medicine has been applied, it is advisable to eliminate it by washing the affected area with plenty of water, or by removing part of it.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date shown on the package after DKA.

Adverse reactions
Like all medicines, Voltadol Forte 100g can produce adverse effects, although not everyone suffers from them. If you experience any of the following signs of allergy, stop using Voltadol Forte and consult your pharmacist. Skin rashes and hives are among the rare ones. And very rare are difficulty breathing or a feeling of pressure in the chest, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.
Conservation
Keep Voltadol Gel Forte out of the reach and sight of children, and keep it at a temperature below 30ºC.
