Indications for Cuve suppositories for children
Medicinal product for children with a laxative effect made from glycerol. It is administered rectally for the symptomatic relief of transient and occasional constipation.
Action and mechanism of cuve suppositories for children
The laxative effect of this medicine is achieved by the stool softening capacity of glycerol which, together with a slight local irritant action, stimulates bowel movements.
Dosage
Use one suppository a day when necessary, or as directed by your doctor. Open the bottle and take out the suppository. Insert it deeply into the anus, hold the buttocks together for a while.
Contraindications
Do not use the medicine for more than 7 days in a row. If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to glycerol, or to any of the other ingredients (excipients) of the medicine. Do not use in children under 6 years of age.
Pharmacist's recommendations
Hold your bowel movements as long as possible to allow the medicine to work. We recommend that when you finish taking the medicine, do not throw it away in the bin but take it to the SIGRE point at the pharmacy. Never exceed the dosage indicated in the previous sections or that prescribed by the pharmacist.
Adverse reactions
Cuve suppositories for children, like other medicines, may cause side effects. These adverse effects include: itching, pain and irritation of the anus.
Storage
Cuve suppositories for children should not be exposed to heat and should not be kept in an environment where the temperature exceeds 30ºC. Store in a place out of the reach of children and out of their field of vision.
