Antidiarrheal to reduce bowel movements and secretions in adults and children

Fortasec 2mg is a medicine with 20 oral capsules dedicated to the cessation of diarrhea in both adults and adolescents, thus relieving the symptoms of diarrhea quickly and effectively. It achieves this thanks to its active ingredient: loperamide hydrochloride, as it promotes the decrease of the activity of the intestine.

Fortasec 2 mg capsules is indicated to rapidly treat the symptoms of occasional acute diarrhoea in adults and children. If after 2 days of treatment you do not feel any improvement or your symptoms worsen, we recommend that you see your doctor. You should also stop treatment quickly and consult your doctor if constipation, bloating (swelling) or ileus (absence of bowel movements) occur.

Patients with diarrhoea should drink plenty of liquids, to avoid dehydration which is manifested by: dry mouth, excessive thirst, decreased amount of urine, wrinkled skin, dizziness, lightheadedness. This is especially important for children and the elderly.

Who is it suitable for?

Fortasec 2 mg capsules is indicated for adults and adolescents over 12 years old.

How is it applied?

Adults will take: 2 capsules as an initial dose followed by 1 capsule after each diarrhoeal stool. The maximum dose for adults is 8 capsules per day. Adolescents will take 1 capsule as a starting dose followed by 1 capsule after each diarrheal stool.

Patients with liver disease should consult their doctor about taking this medicine before starting to take it.
