Composition

0.2% sodium hyaluronate, glycerine, sodium chloride, boric acid, sodium tetraborate, calcium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride and highly purified water.

Description

Xailin® Plus is a lubricant eye drop with a 0.2% sodium hyaluronate solution, obtained by biotechnological synthesis. Thanks to its particular viscoelastic physical properties and its ability to adhere to the cornea, sodium hyaluronate improves the stability of the tear film and restores visual comfort.

Indications

Moisturises and relieves symptoms associated with dry eye syndrome and eye irritation, redness and fatigue due to prolonged computer work and exposure to external factors such as wind, sun, dry air, salt water, smoke, dust, air conditioning and heating. Prevents symptoms of eye irritation caused by wearing contact lenses.

Who is Xailin® Plus eye drops suitable for?

Xailin® Plus eye relief eye drops are suitable for adults and children over 1 month of age.

How much Xailin® Plus eye drops should be applied?

Instill one drop into the conjunctival sac as needed. Xailin® Plus eye drops can be used daily, even by wearers of all types of contact lenses, as this eye drop does not contain preservatives. One drop is normally instilled into the conjunctival sac of each eye 3 to 4 times a day. If necessary, it can be applied more frequently.

How much Xailin® Plus eye drops should be used?

Xailin® Plus eye drops should only be applied externally to the conjunctival sac. 1. Wash your hands thoroughly before using the eye drops. Remove the cap and apply the eye drops to the eye. Do not touch the surface of the eye with the tip of the dropper. 3. Tilt your head back slightly. 4. Hold the bottle upside down (vertically). Gently pull down on the lower eyelid while pressing the bottle and deposit a drop into the conjunctival sac. 6. Close the eyelids and spread the drop over the surface of the eye by moving the eyeball. 7. Repeat the same steps on the other eye. 8. Cap the dropper with the protective cap after each use. During application, avoid touching the surface of the eye and eyelid with the tip of the dropper. 9. After applying the drops, do not rinse the surface of the eye with water or any other liquid.

In which cases is Xailin® Plus eye drops contraindicated?

- Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. - If you experience an allergic reaction, discontinue use. - Do not use the eye drops in case of bacterial, fungal or viral inflammation of the eye.

How should Xailin® Plus eye drops be stored?

- Keep out of sight and reach of children. - Keep away from heat sources. - Store in a dry place at a temperature between 5 and 35°C. - Do not use after the expiry date stated on the pack. - Do not use continuously for more than 30 days after first opening and do not use discontinuously for more than 90 days after first opening (taking into account any rest days interspersed during application). - Discard any unused solution.

Warnings and precautions:

- The eye drops are intended for external use only. - Do not use if container is damaged. - Avoid getting the dropper tip in contact with your eye or any other surface, as this may contaminate the solution. - If you are using other ophthalmic solutions, wait at least 15 minutes before applying Xailin® Plus eye drops. - This eye drop should be applied last. - The use of this reusable medical device is limited to a single patient.
