What is Astrilax 20 mg?
Astrilax contains bilastine, an antihistamine to relieve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis and skin rashes (hives or itchy urticaria) with mild symptoms in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older.
How should Astrilax 20 mg be taken?
The recommended dose is 1 tablet (20 mg) taken orally once a day. Take the tablet with a glass of water. The score line is there to help you break the tablet if you find it difficult to swallow whole.
From what age can Astrilax 20 mg be taken?
This treatment is suitable for adult patients, including elderly patients, and adolescents over 12 years of age.
For children under 12 years of age, consult your doctor or pharmacist, as there are other more suitable pharmaceutical forms available – bilastine 10 mg orodispersible tablets or bilastine 2.5 mg/mL oral solution.
How long can Astrilax 20 mg be taken?
If symptoms do not improve or worsen after 7 days, consult your doctor.
Do not take Astrilax 20 mg if:
You are allergic to bilastine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if:
· You have moderate or severe kidney impairment and are also taking other medicines
· You have recently used or may need to use any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription.
