Peroxiben 50 mg/g gel
Benzoyl peroxide, the active ingredient of this medicine, has antimicrobial activity and
sebostatic (fat regulating), and is able to stop the growth of Propionibacterium acne,
microorganism that causes acne.
Peroxiben is indicated for the local symptomatic treatment of moderate acne vulgaris in adults and
teenagers from 12 years old.
HOW TO USE PEROXIBEN
Adults and teenagers from 12 years old
After washing the affected area with soap and water, apply to it with your fingertips,
a small amount of Peroxiben once or twice a day, depending on the intensity of the process and the tolerance
of the skin.
It is advisable to start the treatment with Peroxiben 25 mg/g gel and then use Peroxiben 50 mg/g gel
or 100 mg/g gel after 3-4 weeks or earlier if a good tolerance to
Peroxiben 25 mg/g gel.
An improvement can usually be seen after 4-6 weeks of treatment. However, it could
longer use is required.
