Pharingenyl Action and Mechanism 20 Suckable tablets
Benzocaine is an ester-type local anaesthetic that tends to block the initiation and propagation of nerve impulses by preventing the depolarisation of the axoplasmic membrane and by interfering with the entry of sodium ions. On the other hand, chlorhexidine works as a weak astringent and antiseptic, which acts by releasing chloric acid (oxidant).
Posology
The recommended dose in adults and children over 6 years old is 1 sucking tablet every 2 or 3 hours, it should dissolve slowly in the mouth. No more than 8 tablets a day may be taken.
Contraindications
This medicine may be contraindicated for people with hypersensitivity to its active compounds. It should not be given to children under 6 years of age.

Adverse reactions
Faringenil 20 Sucking tablets can produce adverse effects such as: tooth discolouration, altered taste perception, mouth irritation or irritation of the tip of the tongue.
