What is Ibufen and what is it used for?

Ibufen contains the active ingredient ibuprofen, which belongs to a group of medicines called “non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs” (NSAIDs).

This medicine is used for the symptomatic relief of occasional mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, toothache, menstrual pain, muscle pain (contractures) or back pain (lumbago), as well as fever.
Who is this medicine for?

Ibufen 400 mg Oral Powder is indicated for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
How to use
Dosage

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 sachet every 6-8 hours, with a maximum of 3 sachets per day.
How should the sachets be taken?

Take the sachets without water.

Pour the contents of the sachet directly into your mouth.
Duration of treatment

This medicine is used for short-term treatment.

The administration of this medicine is dependent on the onset of pain or fever. As these symptoms disappear, the medication should be discontinued.

Pain: if symptoms persist or worsen after 5 days of treatment (3 days in children and adolescents), consult your doctor.

Fever: if symptoms persist or worsen after 3 days of treatment, consult your doctor.

Each sachet of oral powder contains 400 mg of ibuprofen.
Excipients

Isomalt (E-953), anhydrous citric acid, acesulfame potassium (E-950), glycerol diestearate (type I) and lemon flavouring (natural flavourings, maltodextrin and alpha-tocopherol (E-307)).
