Gaviscon Forte 48 Chewable Tablets
Gaviscon Forte is indicated to relieve the symptoms resulting from the appearance of gastro-oesophageal reflux.
Gaviscon Forte 48 Chewable Tablets belongs to the group of medicines containing active ingredients that relieve the symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux. This medicine acts through sodium alginate which, together with sodium hydrogen carbonate and calcium carbonate, creates a protective barrier in the stomach to prevent the onset of gastric reflux and soothe the burning in the pit of the stomach. Finally, the latter two neutralise the acids present in the stomach.
This medicine, therefore, is a formula indicated for those of us who suffer from hyperacidity of the stomach and the consequent heartburn. Gaviscon Forte should not be taken if you are allergic to any of its components, if you suffer from kidney problems, or if there are low levels of phosphates or high levels of calcium in the blood. If you are taking other medicines, it is important to read the leaflet to find out if they appear and to consult your pharmacist in the event of possible interference.
